Senior Community Services' Caregiver Support Group - Plymouth
Fitness Exercise Classes for people with Parkinson's Disease
This unique exercise program will follow a fitness format that stresses components of strengthening, stretching and aerobics. The therapist supervising the program will emphasize the benefits of exercise, taking advantage of your current capabilities, and will help you bring your fitness to a higher level. The cost is $4 per session, per person. Primary physician approval is required prior to the first exercise class. Please call 651-232-2098 to sign up. Monday-Friday 11:30-1:00 pm.
The Memory Club: Empowering Families Facing Early Memory Loss
An educational support group for persons recently diagnosed with early stage memory changes and their care partners. Meetings will include:
- Weekly topics followed by peer discussion.
- Expert speakers.
- Safe environment to share, learn, ask questions, form new friendships.
- Developed with the Alzheimer's Association of Minnesota and North Dakota.
Pre-registration is required.
Caregiver Support Group
This Alzheimer's/Dementia support group meets the third Wednesday of each month and is designed to give attendees educational and emotional support. It is coordinated by Great River Area Faith in Action's Caregiver Program. No registration needed. Coffee and treats included.
