Senior Helpers will be offering a monthly Caregiver Support Group for persons caring for a family member or loved one with memory loss, beginning in November, on the first Monday of each month.
The group will meet at The Linden Hills Recreation Center, which is located at 3100 43rd St. W., Minneapolis, MN 55410. The group will meet for approximately one and a half hours, 1:00-2:30 p.m. There is no fee to attend, however a donation in support of the group may be made. A light snack and beverage
will be provided during a break time.
The support group is intended to help caregivers learn valuable coping skills, make wise choices for the future and share ideas with others who are in a similar care giving role. The discussion also will help individuals to learn about community resources and foster greater self-confidence as a caregiver. Participants may attend alone or with another fam-
ily member or friend.
